Imagine simply melting away excess fat by means of an injection A fascinating idea made reality by Dr Patricia Rittes MD in 1995 The procedure has been presented at many medical conventions as a safe and effective alternative to liposuction, with small to medium fat reduction by mere injections, and is called Lipodissolve
Lipodissolve is a revolutionary breakthrough for both men and women alike, offering them the chance to obtain outstanding results through a simple non-invasive procedure.
It is derived from phosphatidylcholine which is a chief component of soy lecithin. The unique property of lecithin is its ability to break down or emulsify fat. For many years it has been taken orally in order to lower cholesterol, and given directly into veins in order to prevent the formation of a fat embolism (clot) in the blood
Today, after many years of research and clinical trials, it has been found that if this enzyme is injected directly into fat, virtually anywhere on the body, it has the same result. The fat is removed safely, effectively and permanently without any surgical procedures.
FAT DEPOSITS SLOWLY FADE AWAY
Lipodissolve should not be regarded as a new miracle treatment for weight reduction but when it comes to fat deposits which cannot be eliminated through diet and exercise, Lipodissolve initiates a process by which the fat is melted away and then eliminated from the body via the usual metabolic processes.
WHO WILL PERFORM THE TREATMENT AND WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?
Lipodissolve injections must be carried out by medical experts trained in this field In order to achieve a successful treatment, knowledge about fat deposits in the body, the correct injection technique, and the right dosage for the treatment area is of the utmost importance.
You will first have a consultation with our clinic doctor who has received extensive training in the application and administration of Lipodissolve with the doctor who pioneered the treatment.
Should you be suitable for treatment, and wish to proceed, photographs and measurements will be taken and recorded in your clinical notes.
The procedure takes only a few minutes following your initial consultation, and is carried out whilst lying on a treatment couch. The area to be treated is prepared; the pre-defined doses of Lipodissolve are injected at roughly 1-2 centimetre intervals directly into the fat using very fine sterile disposable needles and syringes, until the entire area has been covered.
WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
BODY
FACE
Cheeks Chin Jowls
LI POM A (a soft round swelling composed of fat cells)
CELLULITE
Upper abdomen Lower abdomen
Lower buttocks Love handles
Hips Inner thighs Outer thighs
Upper arms
Fat bulges at shoulder or arm joints
Knees
Back
Fatty tissue around Nipples (male)
IS IT PAINFUL?
Any discomfort associated with the injections is easily tolerated; therefore no sedation or local anaesthetic is required.
Most patients experience a slight burning sensation immediately following the injections, which usually subsides within 1-2 hours.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
Almost every patient experiences some temporary side effects which usually resolve within 1-3 days following treatment. These include redness, swelling and discomfort at the injection site, and in some cases, bruising or haematoma.
Less common side effects include nausea, slight diarrhoea, increased salivation and slight menstrual disturbances for a few days following treatment.
From the many thousands of treatments already performed around the world to date, no serious side effects have been reported.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
The number of treatments varies from person to person, depending on the area treated and the density of fat in that area. As a rule: 2 to 4 treatments at 2 to 4 week intervals are necessary for optimal results. Maximum benefit is seen at 3 months.
WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?
You will start to see results after about 2 weeks Maximum fat breakdown often occurs between 4 - 6 weeks following treatment. Treatment may be repeated if necessary 2 to 4 weekly.
Around 5% of patients do not respond to treatment. The reason for this is not yet fully understood. If this should occur, a further treatment will be offered at a reduced cost.
